AI Job Search Prompt

Fill in your target roles and locations, copy the prompt, then search on Claude: open claude.ai, attach your resume, and paste the prompt. Claude searches the live web and reads the individual postings, but it can only confirm what it can open: you may get fewer than 20 roles, and some fields may say "Not shown". Always open the apply link and check the posting date before applying. ResumeChecker doesn't invent job listings. (ChatGPT or any assistant with web search works too.)

Your AI Job Search Prompt

Please search on Claude with this prompt: copy it, open claude.ai, attach or paste your resume, and paste the prompt. Claude searches the live web, so the job openings you get back are real, current postings — not something an AI guessed at.

I am attaching my resume. Act as a senior recruiter turned career strategist.

STEP 1 - READ MY RESUME
Summarise me in at most 6 bullets: seniority level, total years of experience, core skills, industries, my strongest achievements, and any employment gaps I should be ready to explain.

STEP 2 - WHAT I WANT
Target roles: [ADD YOUR TARGET ROLES]
(Also search the close title variants and synonyms employers use for these roles.)
Locations: [ADD TARGET JOB LOCATION]
Seniority to target: Mid-Senior Level (5+ years)

STEP 3 - SEARCH THE LIVE WEB
Search these sources, using several title variants on each:
- LinkedIn Jobs
- Naukri
- Indeed
- Company Career Pages
- Wellfound (AngelList)
Open the individual posting page for every role you shortlist (not just the search or listing page) so the title, company, location, posted date, experience, salary and apply link are read from the posting itself.

RULES
- Only roles posted within the last 30 days. Give the posting date, or "X days ago" as of today.
- Only roles that fit my resume, seniority and location (or remote). Skip duplicates and roles asking for far more or far less experience than I have.
- Never invent or guess anything. If a field is not visible on the posting, write "Not shown".
- Apply Link must be the direct posting URL. If you could only reach a listing page, write "Listing page only" and give that URL.
- Quality over quantity: aim for up to 20 roles, but if you can only verify fewer, return fewer and say how many you found and which sources returned nothing. Do not pad the list.

OUTPUT FORMAT (keep the table narrow so it is not cut off)
1. Table: # | Job Title | Company | Location | Posted | Apply Link
2. Under it, for each row (same #), one line: Experience | Salary | Key skills | Hiring contact (only if shown) | Why it fits my resume
3. ATS keyword gaps: 10-15 keywords that recur in these postings but are missing from my resume, split into "must add" and "nice to add", with the resume section each belongs in. Only include keywords I could truthfully claim from my experience.
4. My top 5 roles to apply to first, one line each on why.
5. Three search queries I can reuse myself on LinkedIn and Naukri.

Common questions

Does this search jobs for me?
It builds the prompt and the search links. You run the prompt in an assistant that has live web search, and the links open each job board's own current results.
Does this tool need my resume?
No. You attach your resume yourself in the assistant you paste the prompt into, so it never has to be uploaded here.
